Description
Range led the adaptive re-use of a building fully encumbered by FEMA limitations to allow reuse of an existing industrial building along a creek for an innovative restaurant concept by repeat restauranteurs, The Dudes of Folly. The project included streamside restoration and creek access, renovation of the existing building, and conversion of an industrial yard into an outdoor dining and recreation space that welcomes crowds of football fans, families, and dog owners for incredible burgers, tacos, and yard games.
Significant permitting, financing, and federal negotiations were involved in this project that required more regulatory navigation than traditional design work. Range's expertise in complex compliance issues enabled the transformation of a site that many would consider unbuildable.
Phase 2 of the project will create connectivity to the Razorback Greenway trail via a pedestrian bridge over the creek.
