Description
Range designed a three-story mixed-use building that anchors the west side of Johnson Square's central civic space in downtown Fayetteville. The brick building houses law offices on the upper floors with restaurant and coffee shop at street level, creating an active ground floor that engages the public square.
The design responds to the law firm's need for multiple high-quality private offices while maximizing natural light in a compact urban footprint. Large corner offices capture light from two sides, while bay windows bring additional daylight and views to interior spaces. Strategic placement of the building entrance provides access from both the street and parking areas.
A large covered porch on the south facade overlooks Johnson Square and Johnson Mill Boulevard, creating a transitional space between the building and the civic square. The porch serves as both an architectural gesture that engages the public realm and a practical amenity for building occupants.
The project exemplifies thoughtful urban infill that strengthens the civic character of downtown Fayetteville while meeting the functional needs of professional tenants and retail operators.
