Senior Designer Project Manager

Posiiton Overview

Flintlock Ltd. Co is looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Senior Designer to lead our firm’s multi-disciplinary projects with confidence and precision, from concept to completion. The right candidate is an experienced design professional (architect, landscape architect, civil engineer, interior designer, etc) with a sharp eye for design, a strong grasp of technical detailing, and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently. 

You should thrive in a fast-paced environment, excel in problem-solving, and communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and internal teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in built environment design, project coordination, and team leadership, ensuring projects meet design intent, budget, and schedule while maintaining the highest quality standards. Licensure in your design specialty is preferred but not required. This position is fully in-person at our office and other various properties around downtown Fayetteville.

Responsibilities of this Role

  • Take ownership of design and development projects from concept through completion, ensuring quality, efficiency, and design integrity.

  • Lead coordination efforts, working closely with clients, contractors, and consultants to align project goals and expectations.

  • Manage project schedules and budgets, keeping all phases on track and addressing challenges before they escalate.

  • Drive design development, guiding multi-disciplinary teams in producing construction documents that meet high technical and aesthetic standards.

  • Oversee site execution, working hands-on with contractors and solving field issues with practical and innovative solutions.

  • Ensure compliance, keeping projects in line with building codes, zoning regulations, and industry best practices.

  • Mentor, guide, and manage junior team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment and growing the next generation of our team. 

  • Work closely with the Principals to realize the objectives and missions of the organization, including internal affiliate businesses

  • Maintain professionalism and strict confidentiality with all materials

  • Assist with and lead special projects as required

  • Comply with all federal, state, and local legislation

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in built environment design project management.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, Interior Design or a related field.

  • License preferred, or actively working toward licensure.

  • Deep understanding of construction methods, materials, and sustainability principles.

  • Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills

  • Excellent time management skills and self-driven productivity. An ability to organize and coordinate multiple concurrent projects

  • Flexible team player, willing to adapt to changes and unafraid of challenges

  • Leadership skills, including the ability to delegate tasks, motivate team members, and foster a positive work environment.

The proposed salary for this full-time position is $85,000. Flintlock Ltd Co offers a $400 monthly ($4,800 annually) medical stipend to cover the premium of a marketplace health care plan. New employees are eligible after 12 months of employment for twelve weeks of paid parental leave (for both birthing and non-birthing parents) at 60% salary, which may be taken consecutively up front or may be taken throughout the first 12 months after birth or adoption of a new child. After an initial 180 trial period, this position is eligible for short- and long-term disability insurance. All employees receive 7 paid holidays and 120 hours of annual PTO accruing at a rate of 4 hours per pay period with 16 hours granted after the initial 3-month review.
